This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from medieval-sword.store (the "Site").

The Site is operated by Fuji Corp Kft, a company registered in Hungary under number 01-09-392925 (EU VAT number: HU27516711), with its registered office at 1065 Budapest, Révay utca 6. Fsz. 7., Hungary ("Medieval Sword", "we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Order information: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, products and options ordered (including engraving text) and order history.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account information: if you create an account, your login details and saved addresses.
  • Communications: messages you send to our customer support, and the reviews, photos or other content you submit.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.

Information collected automatically ("Device Information")

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect information about your device and your browsing, such as your IP address, browser type, time zone, the pages and products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. This information is collected through:

  • Cookies: small data files placed on your device, which often include an anonymous unique identifier;
  • Log files: which record actions on the Site and collect data such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps;
  • Pixels, tags and web beacons: small electronic files that record how you browse the Site and help us measure the performance of our advertising.

Where required by law (for example in the EU/EEA and the UK), non-essential cookies are only used with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through our cookie banner.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from our service providers, such as delivery updates from carriers, fraud-screening results from payment providers and campaign performance data from advertising partners.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

  • To process and deliver your orders (payment, shipping, customs clearance, invoices, order confirmations, returns and guarantee claims). Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To provide customer support and communicate with you about your orders. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in answering your requests.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the Site secure, including screening orders for risk or fraud (partly with automated tools provided by Shopify and our payment providers) and verifying that buyers are of legal age. Legal basis: our legitimate interests and, where applicable, our legal obligations.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, such as tax, accounting and customs requirements. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • To send you marketing emails about new swords, restocks and offers. Legal basis: your consent or, where permitted by law, our legitimate interest in informing existing customers about similar products. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
  • To improve the Site and measure our advertising (analytics, targeted advertising and remarketing). Legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interests.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with the third parties who help us run our business, including:

  • Payment providers, to process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Carriers and customs brokers, to deliver your order and clear customs.
  • Our manufacturing and fulfillment partners, to the extent necessary to prepare, engrave and ship your order.

  • Other service providers, such as email marketing, customer support and product review tools.
  • Professional advisers and public authorities, when necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a lawful request (such as a subpoena or search warrant), or to protect our rights.

We may use your personal information to show you targeted advertisements or marketing communications that we believe may interest you, for example on Facebook, Instagram or Google. You can manage or opt out of these ads through:

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area, including Canada, the United States and the countries where our manufacturing and fulfillment partners are located. When we transfer personal information from the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions of the European Commission (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • Orders and invoices: for as long as required by tax and accounting laws (currently 8 years under Hungarian law).
  • Customer account: until you close your account or ask us to delete it.
  • Customer support messages and guarantee claims: up to 3 years after our last exchange, or longer if a claim is still open.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
  • Cookies: for the duration indicated in our cookie banner.

8. Your Rights

Residents of the EU/EEA and the UK

You have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing (including for direct marketing), to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@medieval-sword.store. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular in your country of residence. Our lead supervisory authority is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): https://www.naih.hu.

Residents of the United States

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising cookies and pixels may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. You can opt out by using the privacy choices link on our Site (where available), by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or by contacting us. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

9. Do Not Track

As there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not currently respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.

10. Minors

Our products are sold to adults only. The Site is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Payment information is encrypted and processed by our payment providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
